QUARTERLY CHALLENGE <\/strong>– A challenge is when you take the instructions and interpret them and incorporate them into a project you.create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026 Quarterly Challenge \u2013 Chairperson:  Aloma Wang<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These 4 challenges will be fun, exciting, and most of all, beautiful when complete, challenging you to use skill sets not used daily. SO, get on board and walk through the changing seasons with needles and thread, machine or hand.
Create 4 collage scrolls, one for each season. One per quarter. This is the scroll for the FALL
season. 5\u201d width by any length, over 15\u201d. Must be hand or machine quilted with 3 layers, top, middle and back. The center layer can be batting, voile or a lightweight material
Use your crazy quilt, embroidery, thread work, embellishing skill sets to create a beautiful wall
hanging that will represent each season. You will have a completed wall hanging representing all four seasons by the end of the year. You will be given\/shown different and creative ways to install and show off your pieces. All four scrolls will be on display at different stages of completion at meetings at the Quarterly Challenge Table. All four scrolls due at the November meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using your selvage stash, create a wall hanging, any size. You may use additional fabric.
Both the KAWANDI BLOCK (April, May, June) and THIS SELVAGE PROJECT will be due at the

Use red, white, and blue fabric in all shades and prints. Embellish with decorative stitching, buttons, ribbon. Make a mini quilt, any size. Have fun, be creative and create a mini masterpiece. Due date: JULY MTG,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use red, green, white and yellow solid colored fabric only, no prints<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Must include a Christmas tree and at least one star<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be creative!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

.The fat quarters in fall colors you swapped at the July meeting as well as other fabric you\u2019d like to add. Must have a dark brown\/black in at least one of the fabrics you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sew an item that can be used on a table.     No size, shape or other restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use your imagination and be creative<\/p>\n\n\n\n
